Who we are

Lauren and Marissa met nearly 20 years ago in college. They became close friends and their paths have intertwined ever since. Both began their careers in the world of furniture and design at Restoration Hardware Corporate in Marin County, CA. Lauren stepped into the role Marissa had left behind to move to New York. Despite the physical distance, their careers continued to run parallel, with each encouraging the other to explore new opportunities and grow within the design world.

While in New York, Marissa began freelancing as an interiors stylist. Working in so many beautiful spaces furthered her interest in home design. It was Lauren, who gave her the idea to explore home staging, after watching the television show “Million Dollar Listing”. Marissa took the advise and landed a role at a home staging company in New York’s luxury Real Estate market. For over five years she designed properties selling for as much as $50 million. It happened to be the same firm Lauren, saw featured on “Million Dollar Listing” years before- it was kismet. After leaving New York, Marissa relocated to New Orleans and started taking clients independently and took on her first commercial space, designing a coffee shop. Eventually she took on a role at a New Orleans and New York City based decorating firm, where she learned about working in historical properties and running a successful business.

Lauren’s love for furniture and design began at Restoration Hardware Corporate, where she worked for a number of years. When life took her to Los Angeles, she took on a different kind of role in the home space as a Producer on HGTV’s "House Hunters." While working on “House Hunters” she collaborated with countless realtors and home stagers. Also during her time in LA, Lauren and her husband took on a major project of their own by buying and renovating a home. Lauren took charge as both designer and project manager. After successfully selling that home, her family decided to return to the Bay Area, where they once again bought and renovated a property. As Lauren’s hands-on experience in designing and renovating homes grew, so did the interest from others seeking her expertise. This led to the natural evolution of her career into opening her own design company in Sonoma County.

In 2024 Lauren and Marissa found themselves living in the same city in the same neighborhood. Their shared experiences and mutual support led them to join forces and start a design venture together. This new chapter combines their wealth of experience and passion for design into a collaborative and exciting endeavor.
